Senior IBM Integration Specialist
Responsiv is looking for a Senior IBM Integration Specialist with at least 5 years of experience with the IBM integration product portfolio, including IBM MQ, IBM Application Enterprise (ACE), DataPower, API-Connect, WebSphere Application Server (WAS). Enterprise Java, RedHat Linux, and general software development. The role will include all aspects of integration architecture and development. It will also require efficient development in scripting languages, Java, C, and IBM ESQL code. You will be involved with sales and marketing to set priorities and UI standards, creating informational materials, and implementing code.
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000
Benefits include pension and private medical care.
This role currently Reports to the Consulting Team Manager.
This role has limited budget responsibility.

You have at least 5 years of development and software/integration design experience working with large enterprises and multiple stakeholders. You are a technical leader who is comfortable and have good knowledge of
- Deploying and Developing IBM Middleware solutions;
- Consulting skills and working in a development team;
- Understanding of IT foundations such as Operating Systems, Networks, Systems Administration, Software Development, DevOps, Networks, Security, Virtual Platforms;
- MQ installations and development, including clusters;
The key skills and the ability to learn new technologies and techniques, thrive in a high-pressure fast-moving environment and the desire to want to be part of something fresh and exciting.
You are very comfortable with having responsibility for key technical decisions and problem resolution. You own challenges to completion, delivering to tight deadlines, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

About the role
This role currently reports to the consulting manager and is responsible for delivering consulting skills and experience as well as fulfilling development and design tasks for our customers. This includes all aspects of integration and associated technologies, problem resolution, commissioning, release planning, and execution.
Solo & team development using IBM Integration Bus (APP Connect Enterprise) and MQ, thought leadership of SOA, EAI, and general Integration technology and concepts, Installation & configuration on IBM Integration Bus (APP Connect Enterprise) and MQ, Well versed in ESQL, XML, XSLT, REST, SOAP, Java, JSON & Java Script.
Design for integration applications and infrastructures, Create both low-level designs for client solutions. Design and develop testing and maintenance procedures/activities.
Gather customer requirements and develop related solutions, Support presales activity, write white papers, present at conferences, discuss enterprise service bus, message-oriented middleware, SOAP, REST and web services, Understand IIB/MQ infrastructure and installation to allow presales & post sales consulting, Analysis and resolution of problems associated with developed software.
Strategy and research
Sharing experience with colleagues and customers and maintaining currency with new developments, competitive products and features.

- Assemble and publish product briefings and insights;
- Assemble and publish market insights to staff and customers;

- We will expect you to work most of the time from our Bracknell offices and to live within a reasonable commute distance.
