Responsiv is looking for a dynamic and energetic front-end developer.

We are developing solutions for ourselves and our customers that often require significant web and mobile interface development.

You will help us to conceive, design, and deliver all front-end components.

The role will include all aspects of user interface/front-end development, including dynamic forms, user input capture, and static pages on apache and Opensource platforms. It will also require efficient development of Android and Apple mobile applications.

Package

Salary: £24,000 – £35,000

Benefits include pension and private medical care.

Role

This role currently reports directly to the Manager of Consulting.

Responsible for all aspects of UI development, including adoption and commitment to standards, controlling development processes and quality assurance, and for how products will evolve.

This role has limited budget responsibility.

About the role

This role currently reports to the Manager of Consulting and is responsible for developing front-end components of Responsiv and our customers’ applications.

You will be working in a development team under the direction of the product/solution technical lead.

About You

You have a good degree in a recognised STEM subject with several years of experience with front-end development, including usability considerations, JavaScript, PHP, and Java coding and testing.

You have extensive experience and interest in front-end development, including mobile-app development. Experience with Drupal, WordPress themes and plugin development, and integrating websites to REST interfaces.

You have a good understanding of general programming and working as part of a larger solution delivery team. Experience working with modern front-end development frameworks (Vue, React, Angular, etc), working with Git merges, and with HTTP(s), CORS, Security fundamentals (OAuth, SAML), DNS, Web Sockets, MQTT, Pub Sub, REST, XML, HTML5, JavaScript ES6, API design fundamentals, Package managers (YUM, YARN), and with UI testing products (Mocha, Cha, Jest, etc).

You are very comfortable with having responsibility for key technical decisions and problem resolution. You own challenges to completion, delivering to tight deadlines.

You are practiced with modern DevOps and development techniques with a broad knowledge and appreciation of the art of the possible. You are skilled researching and developing software/UI designs, and with presenting and sharing understanding and insights about our products, and the business opportunities they represent.
